Create gift card through number sequences

I need to create gift cards in Retail POS and the the gift numbers should be generated sequentially in a specified number sequence rather than to be entered manually.

Can somebody help me with this so that it can be done in AX without any customization?

    It is not possible to to generate Gift cards sequentially in a specified number sequence OOTB.

    Only electronic gift cards can be generated using the number sequence.

    The reasoning behind this is, that usually, the gift cards are pre-printed with a unique ID on them that can be scanned via barcode. Thereore the ID is pre-defined and hence only needs to be registered, not created, when sold.

    If you need an automatic gift card number sequence, I suggest opening a product suggestion.
