eConnect 2013 with Window Server 2016 or 2019

Has anyone used eConnect 2013 on a newer OS, like Windows Server 2019 or 2016? We want to bring up a new server to run eConnect and various integrations, but have not yet upgraded to a newer GP and need to use it with eConnect 2013 for now. Dynamics GP will not need to be installed on this server.

Thanks,
Victoria

I can't say I have ever tried that particular combination but it should be easy to find out. With eConnect I have always been more concerned with the version of GP than the OS. As long as GP runs eConnect will run.

As Richard mentioned, if Dynamics GP will work with the operating system version, then eConnect will probably work as well.

That being said, the 'supported' environment would be to have Dynamics GP and its associated applications, i.e. Integration Manager, Web Services, eConnect, etc., all on one of the operating systems that is mentioned for that version of Dynamics GP in the System Requirement pages.

With Dynamics GP 2013, the 'supported' operating systems range from Windows Server 2008 through Windows Server 2012:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../mdgp2013_system_requirements

I just mention this as, while it may work, should you come to support for an issue with eConnect, you may be asked to go to a supported OS environment for troubleshooting.

    Thanks

    Thank you Derek and Richard.

My inclination is to stay on Windows Server 2012  to make sure it's on a supported OS. Just wanted to see if anyone had successfully done this in production.

    Appreciate the replies.

    Have a great day!
