Environment Migration In Business Central

Posted on by 2

Hi,

Anyone tell me can we shift complete Environment to another environment in Business Central with deployments, like we want to migrate from Business Central UAE version to US version but there is some sort of deployment as well. Is it Possible? if yes then how it will proceed

Thanks & Regards

    Hello,

This is unfortunately not a supported scenario as we have no infrastructure supporting UAE environments in other Azure reagions.

The only Azure region available for UAE is UAE North.

For a visual overview of where D365 Sales / Business Central online are deployed, please review dynamics.microsoft.com/.../

The process for transferring a Business Central environment ( Tenant to tenant migration)  to a different Azure AD tenant will be a self-service scenario valid only for scenarios where BC environments renamins within the same Azure region being moved to a diferent AAD.

This is will not change the way that Microsoft is managing the D365 BC SaaS infrastrusture ( BC SaaS env assignment/updates ).

Hi, As far as I know, this feature is not currently supported, as Inge mentioned, there are localization differences between each version, if it is the W1 version, it may be possible. This requires consulting Microsoft.

The following new feature will be released in June this year. Although it is not explicitly mentioned, I think there is no way to change the version.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

The localizations are different in these two regions. So you can not do that switch without doing a data migration from one environment to another.

The complexity of the data migration will depend on the size of you database the how complex your business is.
