Fiscal year close error ax 2012 r3

I am facing problem i need to close the year 2016 and facing error while make opening transaction

There is no fiscal year within fiscal calendar 2016 beginning the day after the entered end date. You cannot post opening transactions until you create a new fiscal year for fiscal calendar 2016.

Kindly help me in this error

    Note System start live at 1/1/2017 and all transaction in 2016 is closing balance for 2016

    Hi Bassiony,

    You have implemented the fiscal calendars in an incorrect way. You need to create a fiscal calendar which has multiple fiscal years. Not a calendar per year.

    What you can do now, is create one new calendar which has all fiscal years. Then go to the Ledger form and change the fiscal calendar for your legal entity. After that you need to recalculate the accounting balances.

    Please try and test it in a separate environment first.

    Your calendar '2016-2016' has only a single year, which prevents creating the closing & opening transactions.
