Hello all:
There's been a lot of change in the field service arena with many topics that are older and i'm not sure if they quite apply to the scenario, but it'd be nice to get the straight scoop from a customer or partner that currently uses the field service solution and the mobile enablement.
I have a couple of questions:
- if I want Field Service mobile for a user, I need to assign them the Field Service user @ $95 / month if I want read/write access. If I just assign a team member license, they just have read access to the entities. Are these assumptions correct?
- If I want to buy the Resco licensing (https://www.resco.net/pricing/), I need to purchase the "Enterprise" version @ $40 / user. I would also need to purchase the $95 / user license from Microsoft for a grand total of $135 / month / user if those users needs read/write to the base entities (i.e. Work Order) that are provided in the Field Service solution. Is this correct? Or do you buy a team member license from Microsoft and then the $40 license from Resco (so it's around $50 / user / month) if I want to use the Resco mobile client and interact with all the same functionality that exists in the Microsoft mobile app?
Can anyone provide some clarification on these topics? I know @ the $95 level I can add a user and use the Microsoft Field Service Mobile capabilities (re-branded Resco)...but I've heard rumors that you can just get a Dynamics 365 team member license and then purchase the $40 Resco license, which makes absolutely no sense to me. It would make more sense that the fully branded Resco solution would be in addition to the $95 as there are restrictions in the licensing guide as to the entities that can be accessed based on the license type, and the $40 would not cover the base entities as they would be read only.
Can they make this any more confusing?!
