Hi Everyone,
Once we generate the EFT payment files in D365 F&O, do we have any out of box feature available to send the files directly to the bank ?
Can you recommend the link where I can have details to configure incase if we have it.
Hi Madhuri,
To my knowledge, there is no out of the box feature to send EFT files directly to the bank. There is am ISV solution available -
sksoft.com/.../
We don't have OOB capability to send EFT File to Bank but i have implemented SKG solution on couple of customers with third party vendor. Your can connect with me offline not on this platform and i can share with you some details.
Solution # 01:
As a work around solution, what you can do is when you generate an EFT file from electronic reporting, just place that file on any secure FTP location or sharepoint location and ask your bank representative to copy that file from there OR you can also configure your ER reporting as an output to directly place that file on any secured FTP location.
Solution # 2:
You can ask your developer to create azure logic app that will basically place that EFT file to any bank secured location. Just have a look into below reference to create and configure azure logic app.
docs.microsoft.com/.../connectors-create-api-ftp
Good Luck.
Hi Madhuri21,
I think that is doable without 3rd party solution and/or adjustment as long as you can somehow access your bank file directory via an online connection. What I have in mind is:
Step 1: Set the electronic payment file destination in the ER workspace to a special SharePoint document library.
Step 2: Use PowerAutomate to transfer the file to your bank file directory.
To ensure that nobody manipulates the data you can restrict the access to your SharePoint document library to a limited number of people only. In addition, you can setup PowerAutomate for a secure output transmission as illustrated on the next blog post: d365demystified.com/.../
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Gunjan, our customer doesn't have too many EFT payments. so implementing Sksoft solution is not cost effective at this point.
Hi Ludwig, I will check on this option if it is feasible to get access.
If you operate D365FO then I would expect that you have also an online SharePoint site setup. There should be thus $0 extra costs. The same applies to PowerAutomate where I assume that you have at least a couple of users that already have the proper license. So also here there should not be an extra cost for that.
Probably double check / clarify with your system admins about the existing licenses and access.
Hi Madhuri21 what did you do finally in the end, any suggestions for others ?
