Please state exact version numbers for both your source and target environments! AX 2012 RTM, Feature Pack, R2, R3 ?

You may find the installation guide in the announcement blog article from Microsoft at the end:

blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../dynamics-ax-2012-cumulative-update-7-cu7-is-now-released

You would be following the software upgrade checklist, which does involve in-place code and data upgrade. I would recommend to do a code upgrade in a dev workspace, and then try the data upgrade and then test the system in a Test environment, with all the project management control in place to coordinate this task.

By the way I have an error when I will validate and posting ledger journal was imported using DIEF, error in validatetree.
