Integrating Dynamics 365 Marketing with an external application - hosting form on app

Hello,

Does anyone have experience integrating dynamics 365 marketing with an external app (mobile app) used by end users (which would be contacts in dynamics 365)? The scenario is that when the users update their contact information in the app, then this will also be updated in dynamics.  I would like to know if a dynamics form (subscription center) can be hosted on an app? I know a form can be hosted on a website but I am unsure about an app?
I would also like to hear your experiences with integrating dynamics with external applications.

Thanks!

    Hello @Haig Liu,

Thank you for taking time to answer, your second answer is very helpfull for me.

The case is not that I have to update an entity's information from an app. The case is that my client has built an external app for their business that their end users will download and create a profile. This profile should be integrated with Dynamics marketing, so when a user signs up in the app a contact is created in dynamics 365. Therefor I would also like to have a subscription form on the app so the users can sign up for newsletters. So thank you for your idea, I will look into using the URL for the stand alone page.

    Hi Partner,

1.In fact, dynamics 365 already has its own mobile app where you can update any entity's information.

2.Mobile apps are often coded in different languages, so I'm not sure if the JS code provided by the marketing form will work in a mobile app.
So I would suggest you to use the second option - to put the URL of the standalone page into the mobile app.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
    Regards,
    Haig
