Endless loop in Flow - Update record

Hi,

i am stuck in my flow as it gives me the warning "This flow may run into an infinite loop".

So I added a condition as you can see in the screenshots and still gives me this warning.

The weird thing is, I don't want to update the same field which is triggering at the beginning, the field to update is another one.

so I don't see why its giving me the warning.

Could it be because I have another flow which is triggering on the field I want to update? But its triggering on another value of this field??

    Hi smar.sus,

It is just a warning , you can ignore that one but just verify by running the flow once and check it is not going to infinite loop.

    Thanks,

    Hi Abdul,

    thanks for your quick reply.

I think I don't get it, so you mean, in my case if the component "Installation Status" which i want to update at the end is not in the first step, the infinite loop can happen?

I also have a weird bug with this flow. When it triggers and I check the record the bpf looks like this:

in all other cases it looks correct

    Hi smar.sus,

This is a warning, not an error. As per my little thoughts, you can still save your flow and it will be triggered as expected. The thing is when you update the column which is not added in the components 'When field "review status" changes. This will trigger the Power Automate one more time till infinite until you will not change the value of the column other than written in the filter (skt_reviewstatusops = 921720001). Are you getting what I tried to explain?

    4. Power Automate Flows can cause infinite loops when they update the same records or items that trigger them. This can waste monthly Flow runs and cause performance issues. To prevent infinite loops, one can use conditional logic, the Terminate step, or a dedicated Flow user. Another option is to add a trigger condition inside the trigger settings, which blocks the Flow from starting if the condition is not true.
