Import a financial dimensions to Fixed asset book through Data management

Hi everyone!

I want to import financial dimensions to my fixed asset book. After the import was successfully finished, nothing was published in book.

Financial dimension formats for data entities were defined.

Do you have any idea how can I import default financial dimensions to fixed asset book?

Hi @b1kus

In order to import financial dimensions to fixed asset book, you can use entity "Fixed asset book V2".

You need to fill out fixed asset number, book id and financial dimension in a string that have been defined on General ledger > Chart of accounts > Dimensions > Financial dimension format for data entities

In this example, I use MainAcc-Department-Project-FD3-FD4 as string.

Therefore when I want to add department and project to the fixed asset book i use -12227-10001.05-- for the "DIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE" field and import it via data management import.

Fixed asset book V2 data entity in Data Management Framework. The field DIMENSIONDISPLAYVALUE gets populated with your Default financial dimensions for the asset, like '-123-xxx-abc-xyz' and allows you to import them.
