Hi everyone,
A co-worker pointed something out to me about the campaign form and I was hoping someone could help answer this question.
So on the campaign form, there is a sub-grid for Marketing Lists and Leads. Marketing Lists are used to group leads, contact, or account records, while the lead record is used to just store leads.
So my question is: Why is there a leads sub-grid on the marketing form if you can store leads in the marketing list? If you want to send marketing material out to your leads, they need to be included in the marketing list anyway, so it seems pointless to store them in the leads sub-grid.
One theory my co-worker had was that the leads sub-grid is to store new leads you receive as a response to the campaign, but this is just a guess as of right now.
If anyone has an answer to this, I would appreciate an answer!
Thank you!
Dear Ewhite,
In Marketing List you can have only one target option whether that would be Lead or Contact or Account.
Suppose you need to target to (Leads and Contacts) or (Leads and Accounts) in that case just you can add the Contact/Account targets in your marketing list and Leads you can add directly in your campaign.

Hi eWhite!!
The question is: Why do you think you can only use Marketing lists or you are bound to only use MLs?
I think, Marketing lists are an option and adding individual leads is another option.
In lead sub-grid you can only add leads that are not assigned to campaigns.
I hope I've helped.
Regards.
