How do I track appointments from a Shared Mailbox

We have recently migrated from OnPrem to Online. We have server-side sync to Exchange Online (this was already in place OnPrem).

OnPrem we have a few generic mailboxes that are used to send meeting invites. We onboarded these as users and that gave them the ability to categorize an appointment to track into Dynamics.

Moving online, we have licensed these mailboxes and they still won't show as active users to enable mailboxes on. I created a queue for them (as well as giving them licenses) and then I can enable the mailboxes for emails, but the Appointments one remains greyed out. The end user gets a category and can add it to the meetings, but they won't appear in Dynamics.

I cannot find anything online - can someone advise on how we get appointments from shared mailboxes into Dynamics?
