allow sales order modification without removing from credit management

Hi, is there a setting anywhere that will allow editing a sales order without removing the active credit hold?

We often need to change or cancel an open sales order's quantities or lines while the order is on credit hold, and need the order to remain on credit hold.

When we try to do this, we encounter this message:

The only credit hold / order modification setting I am aware of is the "Allow edit of sales orders value after order hold is released" but obviously that is not relevant because that would be for an order that was off credit management.

Thanks!

I have the same question (0)

I don't think so that's possible and i do agree if we allow thus it might create control issue because you might change the order value and you approve different value or ma be certain other attributes like payment terms in credit hold. which is going to create discrepancies

nunomaia Thanks, just to confirm, it's not the message we want to control, it's that we want to be able to modify the order without removing from credit management.

saurabh bharti Thanks for your reply.  In my opinion the control issue is REMOVING the order from credit management.  Seems harmless to me to modify the order contents or terms while it is still ON hold, in which case the credit dept would be able to make a decision to release or not release the modified order.  In our organization, the dept responsible for modifying orders does not have authority to release orders from credit hold.

Ok, in some situations, yes, line changes can be mandatory to remove from credit.

The only workaround might be by custom code to control that flow
