Hello,
I would look in the Windows Application Event Log on the machine that is trying to do a synchronize and see if you can determine what error SQL is throwing out to you. I would think that would give you a better idea as to what error SQL is generating, and a resolution to your issue.
Best Regards,

Hi,
Bil Thompson,
Thanks for the reply .
In the event viewer the error description is as bellow....
1). Before stopping the replication jobs in job activity monitor. Event viewer error description as below:
Object Server 01:
[Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Cannot rename the table because it is published for replication.
SP_RENAME '"DBO".ADDRESSSTATE.FIELD3','NEW','COLUMN'
session 3 (Admin)
2) After stopping the replication jobs in job activity monitor. Event viewer error description as below:
[Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Invalid column name 'NEW'.
SELECT A.NAME,A.STATEID,A.COUNTRYREGIONID,A.INTRASTATCODE,A.TIMEZONE,A.FIELD1,A.FIELD2,A.NEW,A.RECVERSION,A.RECID FROM ADDRESSSTATE A WHERE (DATAAREAID=?)
I tried with other different column names, the data type and column name is valid. but it is throwing the same error.
what will be the problem? how to resolve it ?
But the user, whose is logged in AX and trying to add a new field is having the full rights to SQL Server.
He is having sysadmin & db_owner rights.
Regards
Prasad.
Hi Prasad,
Have you find the solution? I am facing the same issue.
If you get an error because of replication, then you need to stop it in order for AX to be able to carry out the changes to the SQL table structure as per above.
If you have issues with column names, then please check your SQLDictionary table with the tabId field = your tables' Table id and see if the fields are matching in there with your AOT.
