How can I tell when the latest kernel upgrade was made?

How can I tell when the latest kernel upgrade was made to an installation of AX? This question applies to Ax3, Ax4, Ax2009 and AX2012. We know what the kernel numbers mean, how they are installed, and what changes are contained in them, but from any installation of AX, how is it possible to know when the latest kernel upgrade was applied?

many thanks,

Mark

Go to Control Panel \Programs\Programs and Features\Installed Updates

Following snapshot shows you which was the latest KB applied for kernel HF.

I'm not interested in www.axaptapedia.com/Build_numbers as that just shows the build numbers, but will obviously have no information on when a customer has installed the kernel upgrade. Also, checking the last modified date on the files installed is not good enough either.

    Any other suggestions?

I don't think that AX tracks this information, but you may try to look at last modification date of files included in the rollup.

If you don't know when something was installed in your environments, you should introduce some procedure to document such changes.

Look at the application version section of the build number.

    See this :  www.axaptapedia.com/Build_numbers
