Limit transactions in Receivables Batches to the batch selected.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

When a user opens Receivables Batches and selects a batch, is there a way to limit the transactions to only those belonging to that batch when the user uses the arrow buttons to move to the next transaction? We can switch the sort to "by Batch ID", but if the user isn't paying close attention to the Batch ID, they can still get to the transactions of a batch that they are not responsible for.

Thanks.

Mahmoud, Thanks for the reply. I am still new to GP and was hoping there was a setting I had missed. I will look into adding the customization.

The standard behavior of the system does not prevent moving between the document numbers if a specific batch is selected. Your requirement above implies the need for customization on the form to prevent moving across documents

I may consider this as a doable and yet not quite complicated development project in case the scope of it encompasses only the receivable transaction window. If you want to apply the same logic on the various transaction forms of Dynamics GP, then further time and efforts should be invested.

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,
