Advanced Find for merge records

Is there a way to search in D365 for "merged records"-like from an Advanced Find? I don't have the ability to enable an entity search for "merges" via system settings. Is this doable? Does this capability exist in D365?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

This is not possible via Advanced find but there is a possibility of doing it with FetchXML Builder.

Please take a look at below posts:

Yes we can but have to update the advanced/fetch xml filter using 3rd party tools like xrm toolbox as we have compare same entity record and crm will not allow OOB way.

Below article will help you to implement your requirements.

    Hi partner,

At present, advanced search does not support this type of search, and there is no such function in dynamics. As the two partners said, you need to use the third-party tool XRMtoolbox supported by dynamics.

    Hi TechScout17,

Yes, you can definitely find merged records in Dynamics 365 using the DeDupeD app by Inogic. This data hygiene tool is designed to detect, prevent, and merge duplicates across all CRM entities, including Leads, Contacts, Accounts, and Cases.

Here’s how DeDupeD can help you:
    • Detect and Merge Duplicates: It allows you to identify duplicate records within the same entity and across different entities, merging them into one to maintain data accuracy.
    • Define Rules: You can set rules to minimize future duplication, helping keep your data clean.
    • Historical Merges: You can merge historical duplicate records in bulk, which streamlines the process significantly.
    • Track Merged Records: After using DeDupeD, merged records will have a "Merged to" value, making it easy to find them through an Advanced Find query.

So, while you may not have the ability to enable an entity search for merges via system settings, using DeDupeD will give you the capability to locate merged records effectively. If you have any more questions about this tool or its features, feel free to mail us at crm@inogic.com.

If you are interested in testing the solution for your needs, then you should consider checking out our app for a 15-day free trial from our website or Microsoft AppSource.

    Thanks,
    Sam
