Entry Point PurchFormLetter_PurchaseOrder_Action Dynamicx AX 2012

Hello:

A previous employee who was tightening down access to Create/Edit/Confirm Purchase orders recorded the entry point PurchFormLetter_PurchaseOrder_Action using the Security Development Tool.  I have been unable to find which button in the PO creation or edit process uses that entry point.   If you could let me know the path that uses that entry point (i.e. Procurement and Sourcing --> All Purchase Orders --> etc).  Or.... if you know how to relate an entry point back to a specific button in a form, it would be appreciated... Thanks!

    Hi Rich,

If I understand correctly a person created a new privilege and you want to know the contents of this new one?

In that case, you can go to the AOT -> Security -> Privileges and find the privilege. Open the node and look at the entry points. These are mainly the menu items used.

The menu item can be used in a menu, but also on a form. I think you want also know which form contains these menu items? In that case you can use the cross reference tool in the AOT to find where an object is used. Updating this Mata data is required and can take some hours to build up.

You can also use the search option and find for a keyword containing the menu item on al forms where you select to find all nodes.

It is a bit cumbersome, but doable. If you have questions related to this answer, please ask as I can understand you might not be familiar with this.

Thank you, Andre.  I am somewhat familiar with the AOT and your process works.
