Happy Friday all!

This should be simple but who knows. I need to export vendor and customer addresses to a file (e.g., Excel). Was hoping there'd be a canned report in tabular format but that turned out to be wishful thinking. Anyone have any suggestions? Please bear in mind I'm new to AX 2012 so please dumb down your responses :P

    Don't know if you figured out how to export, but as a newbie myself, I know you can export to Microsoft Excel.   I am having the same issue.  I can export a vendor list to Excel, but cannot export the addresses.  If you just want a list of vendors or customers in Excel.

    You can export the list by going to Accounts Payable>Common>Vendors>All Vendors

    Then click on File>Export to Microsoft Excel.  

    You do the same thing for customers by going to the Accounts Receivables module and follow the same steps.

    If you figure out how to get the addresses included in the export, please let me know.

    Hi KBahn,

    In the sales and marketing menu you can create campaigns and/or mailings. You can then generate a mail merge file.

    Also the Data Import/Export Framework (DIXF) is able to export customer and vendor data into a file format (also tablular).

    Thank you both for the responses. I ended up using a reporting/data loading tool we had licensed call Atlas to get the data out.

    Andre: I'll have to look into your suggestions for possible future exports.
