Installation error while install Dynamics AX 2012 RTM single-computer type

Hello everybody,
I try to install a single-computer installation of Dynamics AX 2012 RTM on a Server 2008 R2 VM on a Hyper-V Server.
Prerequisite Tool said i have everything done but after it finished the database installation it ends - I get 2 errors
both mess with ports and I dont know why:
1. Error on install AOS on Port 2712. And the log file it writes doesnt exists.
2. Component 'URI of AOS Service WSDL accessible' cant be proofed because the server dont accepts connections on port 8101.
   When I type the URI the networkdiagnostic said:
   The Connection from remote machine respectively the ressource will not be accepted.
   The machine respectively the ressource is not installed für accepting connections on port 8101.
   The computer is available but it doesnt support the process.

In the firewall i open both ports but it dont works.

Now the AOS is installed BUT the service dont start - look down for more information, thanks.

Help me please!!!

what is the memory size ? if it 4 GB then it is causing the problem

Please try to install all AX components one by one.

Database,

Application Server (AOS),

Client,

and then all the other needed things.

In the past i had sometimes the same problem installing AX when selecting "single-computer installtione" inside the setup screen of AX when the OS is not an english one.

Currently i had no clue why this will not work, but installing each component manually one by one solved it for me.

AOS is installed BUT NOW the Service dont start:

Fehler 216 : 0xd8

AOS Dienst auf "Lokaler Computer" konnte nicht gestartet werden.

I set the registry key from the InstallationGuide and changed the Ports BUT NOTHING

same Error.

some other hints?

Fehler 216 : 0xd8 is the error code is thrown by windows when you have installed something which 32 bit while AX is expecting 64 bit

Is your Operation system 64 bit ?

ERROR_EXE_MACHINE_TYPE_MISMATCH

216 (0xD8) The version of %1 is not compatible with the version you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

Hi,

you are running AX inside an Hyper-V machine, right?

Hmm..ok...normally this is not error 216 related but ....

If you open the service manager and start the aos service, you get the service is starting screen with the progress bar? If so, you get the error after i.e. 120 seconds, right?

If you now refresh the service manager, the service status is "starting" and you cann't start or stop the service anymore, right?

If so, there is no real error. The error is more a information and you have to wait a little bit.

In virtual machines this is a common that the aos startup takes a long time ansthe windows server environment is throwing such an error. But...... this should be an error 1053 or so.

Did you also check the eventlog for logentries comming from the aos service?

But anyway....

Do you have an base installation snapshot of your virtual machine? Could be a timesaver to restore this snapshot and install all ax component once again (manually one after one).

Hmm..ok...normally this is not error 216 related but ....

-> After 3 sec the errors popps on the screen

waiting 120 sec and refresh for several times dont start this service.

In eventlog is written:

Information - EventID 1109 - Source Wow64 Emulation Layer:

The program "\??\...\Ax32Serv.exe" cant be started because of incompatibility with 64 Bit Versions of Windows.

-> The RTM version isnt 32 Bit, right?

And in Programs behind the AX Components 64 Bit is written.

-> And it is the second Installation, I do the same like first time for the prerequisite and then one after one and I could install the AOS. (?)

BUT NOW the .. service dont start.

Is there somebody who can solve the miracle?

Hi,

i tryed to reproduce your problem on a clean hyper-V machine. But i cann't reproduce this error.

So please try to reinstall everything a blank environment.

If this also doesn't work, please come back to use so that we can help you solving this problem.
