How to forward vendor invoice workflow to new recipient?

Is there a way in standard AX 2012 R2 to forward or re-direct a vendor invoice workflow to another recipient? Let's say the workflow engine has sent an approval request to John, but the vendor invoice really should go to Jane for approval. Can this be done in standard AX?

Follow up question: If this can be done using standard AX, is it done before the invoice is posted to the vendor account, or after?

IT administrator or System Administrator can reassign this work-item to a new employee by going on workflow history inquiry. Possibly also, workflow owner perform this duty. Once done, new employee would get notification for work items.

Definitely before posting invoice. Once approved and posted, Document(Invoice) is locked.

Thank you for your replies. Is there a way a user can do it without having to go to a sys admin?

Unfortunately a user would not be able to do so, unless he/she is provided additional permissions, by assigning privilege such as WorkflowManageWorkflowInstances
