IE11 and File Transfer Manager woes

I'm trying to download content from CustomerSource but, when I'm redirected to the download page, FTM doesn't appear to kick in.  I've checked online for the same issue and found the resolution listed is to switch IE 11 document mode to IE 9 however the only option I have is Edge.  Anyone please have any idea how I can resolve?

FTM still requires VBScript/ActiveX to be able to run. The best way to do this is to add *.microsoft.com under your Trusted Sites in IE's Security settings.

    Hi,

In fact the question is not related to the AX product. You are probably using Windows 10 with the new Edge (Spartan) browser. So do I. Within Win 10 it is still possible to use Internet explorer. So try to use IE instead.

Hi Jesper, Thanks for the response.  Tried adding *.Microsoft.com to trusted sites but no change unfortunately.  Have all correct ActiveX installed and enabled.

    Hi André,

I'm actually using Windows 7 with IE 11.  I agree this is not an AX issue just thought other users of AX may well use customersource and so may have experienced the same issue.

    Hi,

Why did you mention Edge in your question? This was triggering me you are using the new browser in Win10.

You can try to open internet explorer in 'InPrivate' mode to see if this helps. Do you also have the File transfer manager already installed?

After you add to the Trusted Sites, you may have to enable it in the security settings. Set it to Low or manually enable the flags under the settings for the Trusted Sites security profile.

I see what you mean.  When looking for an answer to my issue, one of the Microsoft suggestions is to access the developer console in IE 11 then change document mode to IE8 or IE9 however, the only option I have in there is 'edge'.

Hi Jesper, Unfortunately have tried that without success.  Suspect it may be an issue with our group policy.
