Opportunity Close: Custom Field

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by 20

I added a custom field to opportunity close, however, it doesn't show when I try and close an opportunity and use that new field. (its not populated in the field at all)

What is odd is that it shows the new field on a colleagues computer, but not mine or another colleagues. I am the administrator, so I would expect the changes to be across all team members.

I have used incognito, deleted my history... i don't know what is going on?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Huxtible,

Please check if you have followed the steps in this document exactly.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales-enterprise/customize-opportunity-close-experience#add-entity-to-app

    Pay attention to step 6.

Open the Information form of type Main, and make the same changes that you did in Step 4.

    Hello Huxtible,

Please let me know what is the browser you are using including the version. You can confirm what is the browser your colleagues are using and you can also test the behavior in different browsers.
Please verify if you can clean the cache and allow all cookies.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    hi Claudia,

I have done all of the above and I am working on this version of chrome -

Google Chrome is up to date
    Version 85.0.4183.83 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I have tried incognito and IE.. same results.

    Any other suggestions?

    Cheers,

    Hi,

It sounds obvious but lets check following:

    • Did you enable Opportunity form customization in the System Settings? Please look into following article:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales-enterprise/enable-opportunity-close-customization

    • How many forms you have in the Opportunity Close entity, please make sure you add custom fields on the correct form:

Also, make sure you are looking into correct environment.

    Best,

    Wahaj

(if it helps, mark it as verified)

    Hello Huxtible,

Please let me know if you can double check the form layering. You can add the customization on top of the layering by trying to add the field in the default solution. After that, you can publish all customizations and try again.

That change may not be on top of the layering and you are not seeing.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Communities.
