How to develop a soap web service in AX2012

Hi,

I need some guidance or any tutorial on how to develop a soap web service in AX2012 (X++) in which I will be receiving a text in XML format, then deserialize it, and then, insert it in AX in the parts of Contracts. Also, send back an "OK" with the id of the data I just inserted or the message of the error in case there was any error while inserting the data. Please, any tutorial would be helpful.

A custom service sounds like the right service type for your requirement.

Hi Arunraj,

Thank you for answering. I checked the pdf provided and it seems to me that I will be using a custom service but that pdf doesn't provide any help code-wise, can you explain it how to do it step by step on how to have a service that will receive an XML string and deserialize it to insert the info somewhere in AX.
