Real Time Integration D365 F&O on premise with IBM MAXIMO

Hello

I need to make real-time integration between d365 F&O on premise and Maximo IBM.

I found this article,
https://community.dynamics.com/365/financeandoperations/f/dynamics-365-for-finance-and-operations-forum/315629/integration-with-ibm-maximo?pifragment-109037=1#responses

But, It's not exactly what I look for,

My client require D365 F&O on premise implementation, and real time integration with Maximo IBM,

the documentation of MS indicate that the only supported technology for on premise implementation is Rest API DMF Package but it's asynchronous.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/data-entities/integration-overview

does any one have an idea which could be the appropriate technology that I can use please ?

Thanks and Regards,

Takoua

As far as I know, Custom services can be used in the on-premises version, too. At least they're not mentioned in the doc page that describes the differences between cloud & on-prem: docs.microsoft.com/.../cloud-prem-comparison

Update: your doc page really says that "For on premise deployments, the only supported API is the Data management package REST API. ". If this is still correct, then you can still call the Maximo APIs from Dynamics in real time.

    Hi Nikolaos,

    thanks for your response.

Actually I have two scenarios :

Data flow from Maximo to D365

Data flow from D365 to Maximo

In this case I need to call APIs from Dynamics and Maximo synchronously

and the problem that the Data management package REST API is asynchronous

    Hi Takoua

Based on your requirement, I would suggest you go with Custom Web API.

Please refer to the below thread
