I tried to deploy the SSRS report to server by right click on the AOT tree node. but i got the error information as below.
(It can work before)

i google the error and try to find out the solution, but the thing is none of them match my issue.

i deploy the SSRS and extensions on the SQL server, do the report development on another machine.

1. I can ping the SQL server by NetBIOS name.(network is fine)
2. I can explorer the SSRS report by IE, and also delete them.(i have the privilige and the service is accessable)
3. On the SQL server there is no other service use the same port "80". NO IIS installed.(no port clash)
4. windows "Remote Registry" service is running on both side.
5. the AX client is running as an administrator

do i miss anything else ?

many thanks.

RE: Deploy the SSRS report failed on AOT.

    Hello,

I was getting the exact same error message awhile back. This is caused by not having enough rights/privileges to deploy reports to SQL Server. Follow these instructions below.

Go to the URL where your reports are deployed> click on Folder setting> Click on Edit next to where your name appears>this is where you can edit what kind of roles you need> options are My Reports, Publisher, Report Builder> check on these roles> click apply to save the changes you just made> Then deploy reports.

Hope this helps if you haven't resolved it yet!

    Hi Ihab,

I run the AX client as an administrator, so i think the application is the the administrator's context. but any way, let me try to turn off the "User Account Control(UAC)" feature and deploy it again.

    thank you for your reply.

Check the User Account Control (UAC) on both sides. if you are using windows server 2008 follow the below link.

RE: Deploy the SSRS report failed on AOT.

I missed the error message as below:

If User Account Control (UAC) is enabled on the machine, close the application, right-click the application, and then click Run as administrator.

The deployment was aborted. You do not have privileges to deploy to server: HPSQL01. For deployment, you must have administrative rights to the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) server. Contact your administrator to deploy.
