Print and print to screen at the same time

Hello, some users are having an issue when they print for example a quote, and they want to send it to the printer and print to screen at the same time, word closes right away as soon as you send the job to the printer, the weird this is that seems to be intermittent cause sometimes word stays open, so the can email the quote at the same time.

the company uses Dynamics GP 2010 and they were using office 2010, and currently upgraded to 365, so I taught it was an issue with 365, but since it works some times, it should be something else.

any ideas.

    Hi Virgilio,

    Are those GP clients running off a workstation or is the application executed from some Terminal Server or Citrix environment ? When you want to send multiple documents by e-mail, you could simply use the navigation lists and filter the document, then select them & use the e-mail option.

    What might happen with printing and showing on screen at the same time, is that you may run into a document lock situation where the Printer tries to access a document that is currently open by Word to display on screen..

    Hello the GP is running off a work station, this does not happen for users in terminal server.

    I did a test with a workstation that runs office 2010 and you can print and print to screen at the same time no problem.

    what I find funny about the other workstations running office 365, is that it sends the job to the printer, and I see word open and close immediately.
