Change Inventory Status when moving by template

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to the AX world - we have been live for just over a month and are working through some 'optimization' issues. I have been trying to figure out by using the forums and trial/error. I'm at the point where I'm hoping this great forum network can provide some guidance!

Here is the scenario:

We have a two inventory status options for our stock items:

Warehouse = Available for sales, in the FG warehouse

Print = Available for printing, in the FG warehouse

We want to have a mobile device menu item that will automatically set the inventory status to Print when the move is completed.

I have tried creating a work template to change the inventory status, then doing a 'move by template' menu item, but can't seem to make it work.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
