I would like to be able to post a product receipt without entering a location. I am using Advance WMS features but not using mobile devices. Receiving is done within the PO. My Storage Dimension group has the "Use Warehouse Management Processes" box checked and I have a default receipt location indicated for the warehouse. I have also assigned a default receipt location at the item level in Warehouse Items.

When I indicate a location on the PO line. I am able to post the PR without issue. However, I don't want to have to require the user to input the location for each line.

So you'd be happy for the items to be received into the Default receipt location, but you don't want to have to manually enter this?

Do you just want to post the receipt directly on the PO, using the 'Product receipt' button? Or are you planning to do anything before this that sees the items get the status 'Registered', such has 'Registration' on the PO line, or Arrival overview / Item arrival?

Yes, I would like to receive I to default receipt location without any user input for location. l would also like to receive without using item arrival or registering receipt. Simply with the Peoduct Receipt button in the PO.

If you have the default receipt location set against the warehouse this should work as it will be written to the line - the only impact here would be WHS - why have you enabled it if you receipt from the PO manually and dont use the mobile clients?

Unfortunately the Default Receipt location at the warehouse level is not working. I agree with you in that it should work. WHS is enabled for future functionality. The client will soon have mobile clients and more advanced requirements. Sadly the point of no return comes very early when configuring warehouse mgmt.

I also assume its because of WHS. If you order a WHS item into a non-WHS warehouse, the location will default in. But not if it's a WHS enabled warehouse.

On a Sales order line, if you add a storage or tracking dimension which is 'Location or below' in the Dimension hierarchy, you get a message informing you that WHS can not be used. I guess a similar principle applies on the Purchase order side (although AX does appear to allow you to receive the item using the hand held; it just ignores the location on the PO line).

Since AX is allowing you to put the location on the PO line manually, I don't imagine it is a massive modification to get that default receipt location onto the order line automatically for WHS warehouses. Just parameterise the mod, and you can turn it off when you start using WHS for receipt.

Same issue here. We want set a default location without fill it, but it's still empty and we need to fill the location field on each line of a PO before make a receipt.

We use mobile device too and it's ok but we sometimes need to receive manually.

Realmente este é um problema na Ordem de venda e Ordem de compra, quando utiliza o Produto que está habilitado a opção Usar processos de gerenciamento de depósito em Grupo de dimensão de armazenamento e o Depósito utilizado na ordem, também está habilitado a opção Usar processos de gerenciamento de depósito.

Se algum de vocês descobrir um jeito de ficar automático a Localização, na Ordem de venda e Ordem de compra, quando não tem a necessidade de Liberar para o depósito.
