Cannot Cancel/Correct Packing Slip for Warehouse Management Items

Hi All

When attempting to reverse/cancel a Packing Slip for Sales orders that make use of Warehouse/Transport Management, it appears that it is no longer possible to use the Correct/Cancel function since an infolog appears saying:

Is there an alternative or workaround for this? We also need to reverse the Outbound Shipment that was confirmed before the Packing Slip was generated but the Reduce Picked Quantity function is no longer available at that stage.

    Edit:

Here's the infolog: The Packing Slip cancellation cannot be posted. The packing slip contains items that are subject to warehouse management processes that are not supported by packing slip cancellation.

    Hi Jason,

do you have any news about this?

    I have a similar problem.

My AX 2012 R3 CU8 let me cancel packing list, without your error message but it does not let me re-create wave-shipment-load and work from the Sales Order. Any update or suggestion?

    thank you

The Packing slip Correct / Cancel functionality is not currently supported in Warehouse management scenarios. In the first versions of R3 you were able to do it, but it caused problems. In CU9 the Infolog error was added so that you cannot get yourself into a mess.

I do not know if or when Warehouse management will support the scenario. If you have access to Lifecycle Services, you can see some Issues which refer to this scenario by searching for:

    3648865

    3686031

    3711811

That last one is still open....

I see, although I heard from Microsoft Support that they once considered restoring the function.

Can you suggest another method of correcting/cancelling a Packing Slip aside from the 2009 method, especially if the overall status is already Delivered/Received? I'm having trouble getting into Lifecycle Services and can't search for the issues noted...

    here https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/t/154525

    user Robert Lpt

is suggesting this "lonely work around":
"to repost the packing slip is to use the Update line > Pick on the Packing slip posting form."

but I can't figure out how to do it....

    can you try it too?

    many thanks

    Hi Jason,

I don't know any particularly good method - I think even the AX 2009 method no longer works in any version of AX 2012. If the functionality is one day restored, I would not be surprised, but I have not heard that this is being worked on.

That's unfortunate. Last time I asked the MS Support team for an update on this issue they said the product team opted not to restore it, focusing instead on AX7.

I guess we'll have to try out some of the suggested fixes above, or customize and thoroughly test it to avoid making a mess.

    Hi All

Has anyone been able to determine a work around to correct this? Having the same issue as mentioned.

    thanks

so we have to invoice the SO and use credit note instead?

    For now, I think yes.

But if you have access to LCS, I would suggest you take a look at Issue 3711811, and maybe add your email address to be notified of updates.
