Hello everyone,

I am working with transfer order but I have this issuse "Total received quantity for item XXX exceeds shipped quantity". My product track on batch and serials. The serials will be created when the goods is registed into another warehouse. Please help me to solve this problem!

Hi Nhi,

Can you explain a bit more? Did you actually tried to receive more or not? Probably you need to receive without the serial and later use a transfer journal to add the serial numbers. Or have the serials registered in an earlier stage.

I was not trying to recieve more than transfer order quantity. I did step by step as guide document but It made that Error.

You would need to post us a screen shot I believe of the shipment and what you are trying to receive - certainly AX believes you are receiving more than you shipped!

If you have serial control you will not be able to do this. It must be shipped with serials prior to reciept. Once recieved they can be changed.

I will explain more about my situation. I want to transfer the items from warehouse A to warehouse B, but I manage the items when they are on the road by warehouse C. When I create the transfer order, I reserve items but without serials, only Batch. When I register items in warehouse B with new serials and I get Error like that.

Ok, lets start at square one:

1, what is the tracking dimension group setup for the item in question? please post screenshot. Should be Product information > setup > dimension groups > tracking dimension groups

2. How is warehouse A getting the inventory? Please show us your on-hand inventory for this item with serial and batch. Were they created with an inventory adjustment, production, purchase order? Did they have serial and batch when you got them?

3. Are you trying to choose the batches and serials shipped at arrival? Have you done the shipping yet? Can I get a screenshot of that too?

With a system as complex and configurable as AX you must list every detail of action when asking about inventory so we can see how you are configured.
