Does anyone know the Management Reporter datamart tables that store GL Account and Sub-Account description fields? We have a scenario where a customer must update some descriptions after the fact. Again these are account and sub-account descriptions and does not affect transactional data. For efficiency these updates are done in the accounting application via SQL on a periodic schedule. The issue is that the periodic updates by pass the datamart updates and the datamart must still be rebuilt from time to time.
If we can identify and update the datamart tables it would eliminate the extra datamart rebuild. Please advise. Look forward to a response.
To find the account description table in Management Reporter, enter metadata sections, row definitions, and configuration tables. Review the documentation, create a backup, and test your changes before making any changes. If you encounter any difficulties, contact your Microsoft partners or shared users. Use SQL Server Management Studio for detailed analysis.
There is no way you'd be able to do so.. The content tables in the Management Reporter DataMart is very intricated and complex. If you updated some GL Acct descriptions in the GP master card, the description might not get updated in MR 2012 until you rebuild the DataMart from scratch (which is why I don't recommend the DM at all with MR 2012.. keep using the Legacy connector which pulls data straight from the GP tables).
