Creating a PO from a project SO records double billable transactions

When we create a PO from a Project SO, once the PO is invoiced it records a billable transaction. As soon we invoice the SO the revenue is recorded twice. Does anyone know what causes this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi 365Consultancy,

Can you tell the steps you have performed to create the PO? What project line property is set on the PO lines and did you specify a project sales amount? If the PO has a reference to the project and the line property is having a chargeable line property, then both the sales order and the PO will indeed create billable transactions.

    Hi André,

Thanks for your reply. Steps are:

    1. Create a SO from the project

    2. From the SO under tab sales order create a PO (not direct delivery)

Line property on SO is billable with a reference to a project and these are defaulted to the PO from SO which is also billable. Item has fixed sales and purchase set on the item form or coming from trade agreements.

Isn't this a bug? Because the revenue should be taken from SO and costs from the PO.

    Hi 365Consultancy,

This is a known issue and we are having an internal ticket to resolve it, I would suggest you to open a support case so we can add your case into the internal ticket this will help us prioritize a solution.

This error occurs when using service items on a PO so there is a workaround where service items can be configured as stocked items on the item model group. In this case service items can work as stocked items from cost perspective. In case if there are fewer service items used in the projects new service items can be created and old one can be blocked using default order settings.
