If I add a time limit to an if/then branch, do I need to add a wait for the No branch?

In our real-time journey we are going to send the contact an additional email if they haven't filled out a form. It looks like this:

My question is does the journey wait 3 days before the contact goes down the No path or do I need to add a Wait element of 3 days before the next email is sent if they don't fill out the form.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

We have analyzed the information you have provided and /if the customer performs the triggering action within the time limit, they will go down the "Yes" branch. /We believe that in Journey will wait three days at this judgment condition until the time limit is exceeded before going to another branch.

Of course the above is just our guess, we will verify it as soon as possible and I'll update the response below if there are any new developments.

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Hi,

from my experience and knowledge I can verify the following:
A contact that reaches the if/then element and submits the form will directly go to the yes path. In your setting the system will give the contact 3 days to submit the form. If they haven't submitted it within the three days, they will go to the No path. So you do not need another wait element of 3 days. Otherwise the contact will wait 6 days until the next action..

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,
    I agree with "Pauline Kolde".

To make it clearer for you, we have performed the following tests.
    1. Created Journey, set up a branch, and added a timer to the second branch.

    2. According to the picture, the Journey has reached the "Waiting for timer" stage, because we didn't set the waiting time in the branch, the Journey will take (0+10min, ignore the time to send the email).

According to the information you provided, you have already set a limit of 3 days timer in the branch, if you add a 3-day timer before sending the email, the journey will take 6 days.

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Best Regards,
    Rudy Zhang
