AZURE DEVOPS NOT CREATING BINARY PACKAGES

I have a build pipeline based on the default Pipeline using a build VM. 

I keep getting error "No binary package(s) found" on the Create Deployable Package Step.

Find my build step config below

and the Create Deployable package step is found below

Can someone please help point out what might be wrong. and why the X++ binary files were not created in the build Step.

Note I am using a Build VM for this.

    Did it work before or is it your first attempt to set up a build on the given project?

    Do you have any models (including their descriptors) in the repository?

    Thanks Martin, 

    I have setup a build pipeline before and it worked. 

    All models have their descriptors in the repository. 

    I switched to the power shell script for Generating packages and it created the binaries and also the package. 

    So am wondering what's happening when using the Create Deployable package Task on this project.

    The create deployable package task has default variables, but the defaults are set for a hosted agent environment, not the build VM. You can absolutely use this task on the build VM and its build definition but you will have to review and adjust the default inputs.
