Financial dimension - country

Hi,

I am facing an issue with financial dimension - country. When I import data to AX (via batch or inbound ports) the GL account is visible but not country code. Can some explain me what could happen. I can see that country code "0" is involved ( I read some info that it can be a problem) but we didn't face any issue like that before.

Thank you for your help

Br

Kacper

    Hi Kacper,

If it is not visible on the main account form, check if you have activated account structures using this Country as dimension. Also these account structures needs to be linked to each legal entity using the form Ledger in  the GL setup.

Or is it data related? Then please explain more also what you mean with country code "0".

    Hi Andre,

we didn't make any changes in our dimension setup. Everything worked fine until now. Some of transaction if they cannot be recognize are posted in company code 0 which is our HQ otherwise they are posted under company code they belong to. What is happen that I can see Gl account but I cannot see country code. I am not sure if the currency can have an impact on that but what I get is a message that financial dimension country not exist which is not true.

    Hi Kacper,

The currency should not be related to this. I'm  also still not sure what the exact problem is. Can you probably add a screen shot?

    Hi Kacper,

When you are getting this error "Financial dimension country does not exist" ? It means that you have added country as a financial dimension in your account structure setup and the value you are entering on the journal does not exist in Country table.

As Andre asked, can you please add a screen shot, so that we can better understanding the reason of this error and suggest you the possible solution.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi,

this is the message I received ( the data is coming from file which contain country code). The country code exist but have been created  once again because someone rejected. Can this fact be a reason why AX cannot identify country code because they received a new recid?

    Hi Kacper,

As far as I know, the financial dimension recid doesn't get created if it is already exist. The record is updated with already exist recid. Can you please add a screen shot of what country code is coming from the file and when exactly you are getting errro. Also after recieving the error, can you select the error message in the infolog and click Edit button to get to the x++ code from where the error is thrown and paste that line of code here?

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi Kacper,

Which service are you using to put the data in AX from import file. You might need to debug the code to find out why the financial dimension is not getting populated correctly from country code.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi Kacper,

I would suggest you to try populate the value using Country code through a job and see if you are getting the same issue. In this way, it would be easy to debug and you can track down the issue.

    Thanks,

    Baber.
