Portal Chat process cannot open a Chat session

I'm having an issue with the Web Chat functionality
 
I have a user initiate a chat from our Customer Support window. A couple of messages in the Chat window tell the user an agent will respond to them
 
 
 
The agent is alerted to the Chat through the Omnichannel for Customer Service app:
 
 
The agent assigns the chat to themselves, and a Work Item picked sucessfully message is displayed:
 
 
 
The agent refreshes the screen:
 
 
The agent clicks in the top right ellipses, to open the work item but there is no response where I would expect a Chat session screen to open.
 
It has worked in the past but for no apparent reason does no longer. Any help/pointers in the right direction would be very much appreciated.
