Submit button doesn't appear in the Purchase requisition screen in AX 2012

Hi,

While working with a workflow in Procurement and sourcing, I go back to requisition to submit to test my workflow & realize that the submit button disappears.

Please help!

1) is that happening with all users or with one user?

2) is there a valid workflow configuration?

3) is RequisitionStatus is in Draft state?

4) is the submitter also the creator of requisition

5) does any line exist in Purchase requisition?

Hi Sohaib,

1) is that happening with all users or with one user?

I'm working in testing environment & there are just 02 users (me & another co-worker). Both of use cannot see the Submit button.

2) is there a valid workflow configuration?

Yes, it a valid workflow without any error: after modification (changing the assignment type from 'hierarchy' to 'User', the new modified workflow can be activated.

3) is RequisitionStatus is in Draft state?

Status of all recent requisitions that I entered after activating new workflow are 'Draft'.

4) is the submitter also the creator of requisition

Yes, only me.

5) does any line exist in Purchase requisition?

All of my requisitions have at least 1 line for testing.

what security role has been assigned to you in system

also attach a screenshot of following screen

Procurement and sourcing/Setup/Procurement and sourcing workflows

additionally check permission under

Procurement and sourcing/Setup/Policies/Purchase Requisition Permissions

I added records for my user accounts, then sign out & sign in to AX. The Submit button doesn't show up yet.

gentleman, I am not sure about any other reason, at this time (1:44 am at my side)

:) will see if I can think on it next morning if any other reason comes to my mind for the issue

Hi Sohaib,

I've just activated my original workflow that uses a procurement hierarchy & then I can see Submit button. If there's no hierarchy-based workflow activated, the Submit button disappears again. A new thing to learn to me.

workflows configuration is independent of procurement hierarchy.

if you have set procurement hierarchy in any workflows configuration, that is just optional

so 1st believe you need to avoid and know that procurement hierarchy has nothing to do with a workflow configuration in general.

regarding your issue, where you was unable to get submit button, I can sense/feel that it was non-availability of any active workflow configuration, due to which workflow was not being submitted (i mean yellow bar was not coming there)
