    Which Version are you using?

Depending upon the version you can use rapidstart services or dataport/xmlport.

    Hi,

    I am using Dynamics NAV 2013 R2.

I used Rapidstart for initial configuration but couldn't see anything which can update the Zipcodes.

    Please advise

    Thanks

In 2009 we had to locate a zipcode file, convert it to Excel, and then import it.

In 2013 I imagine it won't be that 'easy'.

In either version, it involves a consultant because after 20 years of NAV, Microsoft still hasn't realized that people use Zipcode information for anything...

In Denmark we can get an Excel sheet with ZIP-codes from Post Danmark (the national mail handler).

I only needed to modify this Excel sheet so it contained the same columns as NAV and then I was able to copy/paste it into the page directly in RTC: right click left to the zip-code and choose "insert rows" (if my memory is correct - I was doing it in a Danish NAV, so it was probably not called "insert row" but You'll get the idea :-) ).

This was done i NAV 2013 R2 - quite easy actually.

Made a how-to for our other customers - so they can do it themselves.

Table need to be "empty" or at least not containing any rows with same primary key.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your solutions.

I finally managed to import the zip codes.

In the Role Center / Worksheets I added Zip Code table and imported the Zip Code template with all the zip codes and applied to the database and IT WORKED...

Tested the zip codes in the normal environment and its working fine.

    Thanks for your support.

With your version you can also copy and paste from Excel. Export first and update Excel with correct ZIP codes, then paste into NAV.

    Good luck!!
