How to append custom option to a multi-option field?

Hi,

I have a multi-option field on a case form that requires more customisation. The users are able to select multiple items from the list  but they also want to have the option to be able to type in an item as well. Is there a way of allowing them to enter what they want as an extra bit of text? I don't want to create another field as they want this option for a number of different fields and it will get cumbersome.

    Hi,

Yes, I need them to be able to type the last option in and add that item to the already selected list of items, so the last item can always be a manual text entry if they cannot find an appropriate item from the option set.

Can you please clarify your requirement:
they also want to have the option to be able to type in an item as well
Do you want to add a new option in list by this ? For example current values are One, Two & Three and you want to type and add Four ?

Or for selected options you want to add some relevant text (for example note or comment) ? In this case only option is to add a new field as @Andrew Butenko  suggested.

    Hello,

Mutliselect Optionset doesn't allow what you said. You will have to create a separate field to store that additional data.
