can we make two users with different data(customers,salesorders,purchase orders etc) and common chart of accounts within same company

I dont know any third party tool is handle the scenario, but through customization, you can achieve the above functionality

Hi Pallavi,

create a customization in such a way that your master record hold login GP users in any user defined fields or create a setup screen to assign customers and vendors to each GP users.

Also you can note that every transaction record has user "who posted field".

Once you login with gp user, you need to validate the user and you need to fire the user data from the respective screen(both entry and inquiry).

I hope this will some idea to achieve the same.

Hello Pallavi

This requirement is not as easy as you might imagine, we are definitely not talking about a few lines of code that will get things properly handled. This would be one of the huge products for Dynamics GP.

The out of the box functionality in Dynamics GP provides Account Level Security, you can define an organizational hierarchy for the employees and grant access on the chart of accounts accordingly considering the account segmentation.

On the other hand, there is no out of the box functionality in Dynamics GP granting access for customers, vendors, items and checkbooks, the idea is primarily derived from the fact that the ERP is a centralized system, in which an AR accountant handles all customers and has access accordingly to all customers. I have seen very rare cases in which the clients requested "Data Level Security" on master entities such as Account Level Security. I can think of one product called "Data Level Security".

That's definitely not an easy task and we have done similarly kind of customization for our several clients which is 100% according to their needs.
