We are excited to announce the release of Pre-unification Enrichments in Customer Insights. Pre-unification enrichments allow you to improve the quality of the profiles created during unification by improving the quality and completeness of your data prior to unification.
Why use Pre-unification enrichments
Customer Insights ingests various types of data from many sources. The data can be incomplete and presented in different incompatible formats. When this incomplete and unstandardized data is used in unification it can limit the accuracy of the matches obtained. Preview customers saw that using standardized addresses from pre-unification enrichments in matching can increase precision of match by 5% and discover an additional 8% matches that were missed due to unstandardized data.
You can take advantage of the following capabilities to enrich your data before unification:
- Clean and Enrich Address Data with Enhanced addresses: use enhanced addresses capability to clean, standardize and auto complete your addresses before going through unification. This will give you confidence that your address data is standardized and complete and ensure that you will get exhaustive and accurate matches once you use these addresses in profile unification.
- [B2B Instances only] Clean and Complete Company Data with Enhanced Company Data: for businesses, use enhanced company data enrichment to standardize company names. This will allow you to identify duplicated company accounts, as well as identify matching companies during unification. This enrichment also enhances company data with additional details: address, phone number, email, and website.
- Enrich Customer Data with Third Identity resolution capability - LiveRamp: LiveRamp is a third-party enrichment that enhances your data sources with unique consumer IDs to discover more matching records. Live Ramp Identity resolution provides unique IDs for each of your customers based on their personally identifiable information (PII) like a person’s name. This will require an additional Live Ramp license. These IDs enable you to build a customer profile where PII information is missing or incomplete. These IDs can also help identify matching records even when PII does not align as in the example below:
