plz explaint the Difference between product value commitment, value commitment, product category value commitement by using example

i want to create purchase agreement with supplier. The
agreement will give me a 10 percent discount automatically on an item, after i
purchase $10,000 US dollars' worth of that Item during a 12 month period. which commitment should i use

you need to you use purchase agreement with "Product value commitment" as a default commitment.
in the Purchase Agreement line details >> Fulfillment Tap, you will get detailed of the selected items as:
- Remaining
- Released
- Received
- Invoiced
keep watching this window, and once you reach to 10,000 ... you may need to communicate your vendor to claim you discounts. and accordingly, you need to update you purchase agreement to include the discount.
there is no such action which will update the discount automatically once it reaches to 10000 ..
if you need to achieve that, you need to do small customization.

Hi, did you tried to use a price discount line with a minimum amount of 10 000$.
It could be easier to follow the minimum amount.
