Batch job execution is not working but class is working

Hi All,

we have a batch job which is executing as ended but the action is not happening, but when run the same class by debugging it is executing as expected , but the same class is not giving the expected result when executing in batch job and not throwing any errors in batch job history.

Please advise us how we can resolve this strange issue.

Hi Akbarpasha,

If your batch class has query try to print the query in the info log and you can see the info log results in the following path.

System administration > Inquiries > Batch jobs(Select your batch job) > Batch job history. > On the action pane you have info log where you can see the messages.

Hi Akbar,

Can you tell what exactly this batch job should do? When working with files, the file might not be found. If you can explain more, we can try to help you.

Hi Akbar,

While debugging, are you running the batch job in batch or not? I mean what is the process that you are attaching in order to debug?

What is the functionality in this batch job and what are the parameters, if any, for the batch job? A little more detail would help.

Hi Andre and MON,

Class is fetching the API and updating/inserting the D365FO tables,

while running the class in Batch job , all the records are not fetching from API urls, Batch job is fetching few records not all.

but when run the same class alone without Batch job , the remaining records are getting fetched.

Do we need to create the Batch job again or anything we can refresh ?

Please advise.

Hi GirishS,

No queries in the class, class - using the APIs fetching the records and inserting/updating the F&O tables. there is no parameter setup.

using Batch job, all the records are not getting fetched, but when we run the same class without batch job , the remaining records are getting fetched.

Hi Akbar,

I would have said that your process can only be executed without batch job but you mentioned that in batch it does fetch a few records. Can you share some code snippet or more details? Is there any contract class attached? Are the parameters, if being used, are being packed and unpacked properly? What data do you send for the API call?
