Add comments to A/P transaction

Hello,

Is it possible to add comments to an invoice/transaction in GP (the paper clip icon, right?) and for those same comments to appear in a report run from Smartlist or similar? Would like to see these comments in one consolidated listing for convenience when running a report.

Paper clip icon on window is for attachments, if you are looking for fields to enter comment(text) then for payables window you can have custom filed to enter comments. This could be done by customization,

You can also show these comments on desired report writer reports and can create new smartlist view to show these comments.

Further to Almas's answer,

Depending upon the version of GP you are using, MS introduced the Long Description for Payables,

Here is where the setup switch is to turn that ON

Here is how it will look in the voucher window

On the backend [LNGDESC] is the column name that can be found in pm10000/20000/30200 etc that you can add to your reports.

It allows upto 201 characters!
