Bookable ressource booking on active work order list

Hi everyone,

can anyone tell me, how it is possible to show the already existing ressource bookings connected to planned work orders in the active work order list?

In best case there should be an additional column in the shown list, which shows me when the bookable ressource booking connected to the active work order starts (start time bookable ressource booking).

Thank you for your help,

Michael

Add new column start time (bookable ressource booking)

Customize the "view". Settings (gear icon), Advanced, then "settings" again, then "customizations".
Expand the ENTITIES, then select the bookable resource booking entity, then the views, then double click to open the appropriate view and add custom fields. Or use "new experience" and drag and drop!pastedimage1645021015310v1.pngpastedimage1645021056374v2.png

Unfortunately, you cannot show information from a booking in a work order view because there can be many bookings for each work order.

In any view you can show information from related tables but only if the related table is a direct relationship (a lookup from table with the view you’re modifying).

To accomplish what you want, you could have logic that copies the value from your next booking to the work order which you could then include in a view but you would need to think that through to keep it accurate in all scenarios (creation, deletion, deactivation, update of time, status, multiple bookings, etc.).

Thank you, that helped a lot.

    Two more thoughts:

    1. You can add a lookup field from WO to Booking. Call is "primary booking" and add logic to set that value on WO when a booking is created, if the field is null.

    2. Depending what you are looking to accomplish, if you only need work orders that have a booking, you can use the booking view instead and add the WO data, so anchor on the booking entity instead of the WO entity, but of course this won't include work orders that arent booked
