Hi All
my Company like to upgrade NAV 2009 to NAV 2013. our NAV 2009 R2 with Advance Managements module. the Questions :
1. How to upgrade / convert license key 2009 to license 2013
2. In Nav 2013, is it still any granule to buy ( even now nav 2009 we already have Advance mamagenment )
3. NAV 2009 we know the Advance Management , but in NAV 2013 we know Extended pack , is it the same function ?
4. I saw in NAV 2013 extended pack already completely all the module , look like we dont need to buy any additional Granule , is it right ?
5. is there any tools to upgrade / convert the database NAV 2009 to NAV 2013 ?
6. is it possible to change several company units, to be one company with using Dimension in NAV 2013. but we still wanna reports each unit company ?
thank you
Alfian .

I've never tried it, but I'm pretty sure you cannot do it.
Hi Aleksandar
just for trial , can I use the cronus demo license nav 2013 to upgrade my existing database Nav 2009 to Nav 2013 ?.
thanks
1) You cannot order license direct from Microsoft without partner. You have to ask it from your parter.
2) In extended license pack, you will get all NAV functionalities. You can read about this on my blog. You have BRL and Perpetual license comparatively here: community.dynamics.com/.../what-kind-of-dynamics-nav-licensing-options-are-available.aspx (in Excel attachment file). If you have regular BREP in moment when NAV2013 was appear, you will not need to pay additional.
3) If you have Advance in BRL, you will get Extended.
Hi Aleksandar Totovic.
thanks for your answer . but I Still have a Questions :
1. Can I Order to microsoft to convert my license 2013 by my self ( without Patner ) ?
2. what do you mean that I will get some new functionalities in extended , is it mean that I should buy ?
3. with NAV 2009 R2 I already have Advance Management, so when I have new License 2013 , I will get
extended pack ( All NAV Granules ) ..right ?
thank You
1) This is a simple process. Your partner must to do it on Partner Source. You can use NAV2009 license 6 months after that, but you will get NAV2013 license immediately.
2) In NAV2013, you have Starter Pack (smilar as BRL BE) and Extended Pack (all NAV granules). If you use Extended, you will get all granules and you cannot add nothing else. You can and need to add only Multiple Languages, Application Builder, Solution Developer and Application Objects (tables, pages, reports...)
3) All from 'Advance', you will get in 'Extended', but you will get some new functionalities.
4) Yes, you are in right.
5) Yes, look up ate msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh169484(v=nav.70).aspx
6) This is complex question and you need to give us more details. In NAV2013, you have the same functionality as NAV2009 for this, nothing new.
