Workflow approval error due to dot net windows update

"Hello everyone,

Hoping somebody has run into this kind of issue and has somehow managed to solve it in the past.

We recently had an issue where our workflow approvals just stopped working and would generate the error "The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details."

We initally tried a reinstall of dot net framework 4.8.1 then ran 'EXEC wfDeployClrAssemblies' on our DYNAMICS database which solved this error last time, but this time it didn't work.

We found the culprit to be this particular windows update KB5039907 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/july-9-2024-kb5039907-cumulative-update-for-net-framework-3-5-and-4-8-1-for-azure-stack-hci-version-22h2-bf7e9ee1-a598-4414-9ccc-3005896c9ba0)

After uninstalling it, the workflow works and approves as normal without error.

Has anybody encountered a similar issue? Was there anything else we could have done to fix this?
