AifMessageInspector::AfterReceiveRequest. Error: System.Security.SecurityException: The user name or password is incorrect

We got an incident where users cannot log in to AX2012 for like 30 minutes. (They can open client but the screen is freezing without showing any error)

During that time we found the error below in event log.

 

I also attached the events, could you please have a look.

The time that this issue occur is around 4.30PM – 4.54PM. In security log it shows that a lot of failed login of ax administrator account but we did not update anything on this account.

    Did you find a reason for this issue and were you able to solve it?

    We have encountered a similar problem with the same error message in Event Viewer.

    I found this log on Security log in AOS event log but I'm not sure how solve it.

    This event is generated when a logon request fails. It is generated on the computer where access was attempted.

    The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.

    The Logon Type field indicates the kind of logon that was requested. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).

    The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon.

    The Network Information fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.

    The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
    - Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
    - Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
    - Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.

    Yesterday, I found this error happened again. Not sure by the Domain due to I didn't found an error about system or security event log.

    Can you suggest for this ?

    Doesn't it mean that all accounts had the same problem and you see the message from AifMessageInspector only because it's explicitly logged, unlike interactive logins?

    It looks like a problem with AD or Kerberos.
