Background: I have Leads generated through an external marketing form capture and are created within marketing app.
The marketing team only generates the leads - so the Lead to MQL process is not used. The lead qualification process is only handled by the Sales team using the OOTB - Lead to Opportunity Sales process.
Problem: Even though the lead entity is shared between Marketing and Sales, the business process flow - Lead to Opportunity Sales process is not visible in the Sales model driven app for these leads. Currently it has to be manually kicked off from switch process. Which I not the desired way to go about.
While creating new leads manually within the system the process is attached automatically.
Any insights would be beneficial.

Based on your description, you need to manually switch the BPF for those lead records, right?
If so, you could try to use JS to automatically do this. Please check this blog:
